Katie Holmes and the Curse of Tom’s Ex
Here’s an interesting addition to Broadway legend: while we’re not sure if Kate Holmes will actually get to be in the “straight play” (which apparently is what anything not a Disney musical is called these days) restaging of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, if she does she will be playing along with screen and stage star John Lithgow. Dianne Wiest is also cast, and director Simon McBurney “loves” Katie for the part of Ann Deever. She’s got to be looking forward (or wincing) at some of the famous lines from the play: “I owe him a good kick in the teeth, but he’s your father.” ”
Curse? What Curse?
Well, simply this: Tom Cruise’s other ex, Nicole Kidman (who is rumored to be coming to the screen version of “Nine”, speaking of Broadway stage-to-screen) spent a little time on Broadway after their divorce. In her debut of “The Blue Room” she starred with a naked man, Iain Glen.
As noted by Roger Friedman of FoxNews: in the decade since, the man hasn’t worked in the U.S. once.
Coincidence? You decide…
