On the other hand, here’s one I would like to see…
"AVENUE Q played its 1,500th performance on Broadway at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street) on Sunday evening, March 4th…AVENUE Q opened on Broadway on July 31, 2003 — to great critical and popular acclaim. AVENUE Q went on to win three top 2004 Tony Awards: Best Musical, Best Original Score of a Musical (Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx) and Best Book of a Musical (Jeff Whitty)."–Broadway World.com
My daughters, who have seen things like Lion King and Wicked on Broadway, haven’t gotten to this one yet. But as little LGBT activists, they wish they had. It’s been described as "Sesame Street for adults", and based on only one song that I know for sure ("The Internet is for Porn") I know it would be an evening of laughter and pounding the seat arms in time to the music.
Ah, someday…
