30 Days of Rent…
It’s so nice to read those words and not feel the stress of paying my own.
You know, I almost was poisoned against RENT. You see, my daughters found it before I did, and in the way teenage girls will, they decided to play it over…and over…and over again. And yes, it’s great music, but anything played ad infinitum swiftly becomes ad nauseam.
I was saved by being cast as a singer/dancer in a Community Theatre Valentine’s Day show called "Boy Meets Girl", created by Patrick Fernan (yeah, I know I’m not listed there, what can I do? I was small fry). I got to sing a gorgeous choral rendition of "No Day But Today", and dance to a version of "Take Me or Leave Me", and it got me hooked.
