I’m a beauty school dropout!
OK, I’ve not been this excited about a TV show since I watched the musical episode of "Buffy". NBC is doing a reality show about the casting process for an upcoming revival of "Grease" on Broadway. Aside from loving the musical, I think it’s a great way to keep the public interest in the performing arts focused on live performance.
The website is pretty thin right now, just some photos and such, but there’s a couple of fun bits: a "Grease Karaoke" where you can record and upload your own video (stay tuned here tomorrow to see my version) and a quiz of "are you a Sandy or a Danny"?
I was a little surprised at that last one. I took the quiz, answered the questions, and what did I end up with?
"You’re too cool for school. Loser."
Great. I’ve been dissed by a frikkin’ website.
Oh, and in the interest of full disclosure: I did, in fact, play the teen angel in a return to my high school many years ago. I don’t know if I can find a video of it…but if I can, I assure you, it will appear here as well.
