And while his work has garnered many wonderful reviews, brought joy to many people and more than that, comfort where needed, I’m especially glad to hear that the Library of Congress is officially archiving all of his notes, scores, etc. This is an honor that goes to people like Irving Berlin. Ira Gershwin. Leonard Bernstein. To have it go to Jonathan is the kind of acknowledgement that restores just a little bit of my faith in the world.
