Taking it a bit too far
I’m a big fan of using the body for art. That’s what dance is, right? And there’s a whole body (ha!) of fine art that uses parts of the human experience–everything from fingerprints to tampons (yes, that’s right).
My wife is part of an art group that has one artist who is making a "Wall of hair", consisting of locks bound with thread, one from each person she knows, with the thread binding saying something about her feelings for the person. I appreciate this; it turns the art piece into a performance as people look at it and begin to explore the artist’s connection to her world.
This, on the other hand, I think takes it past the point of sanity and into, well, just plain yuck.
