The Julie Andrews Collection
Julie Andrews has had quite the career. This living legend has performed on Broadway in numerous musicals and we have enjoyed her on the silver screen ranging from The Sound of Music to 10.
After her throat surgery to remove non-cancerous nodules, the one thing that she was known for, her amazing vocal talent, was gone. Instead of burying her head she has emerged into a new chapter in her life.
She has not only been keeping busy with Disney movies, but she also has become a children’s author. She most recently has written The Great American Mousical, available on Amazon.com.

So You Think You Can Dance: Good-bye Dmitry and Martha
We all saw it coming and knew that it was only a matter of time before we lost Martha and Dmitry. Martha has been giving us very lack luster performances and the more I watch the more I see a lack of basic technique. Dmitry gave a good showing, but you can only take off your shirt so many times…by the way, thanks Dmitry.

So You Think You Can Dance: Good-bye Musa and Ashlee
I was bummed this week when Musa left the show. Despite his lack of disciplined study, he was one of my favorites. He did a great job and was a great performer. Unfortunately, he was one of the ones in the bottom and I knew that his days were numbered. Ashlee was not a real disappointment to see leave. Popping was about the only skill set she had and was OK at best. I never understood why she made it as far as she did.
We now see our final 10 dancers and there is a lot of talent. Is there …read more

The Last Comic Standing: On-Line Comic Contest
In conjunction with the episodes taking place on TV for The Last Comic Standing, there has been an on-line contest for comedians who did not make it on the The Queen Mary. The contest gives one a chance to perform in the TV finale.
My favorite is Nikki Payne. I was shocked when she didn’t it make it to the boat. At least now she has a chance. Go here to see the comics and place your vote.

Last Comic Standing: Episode 8
Chris Porter from The Last Comic Standing
We are now down to our 5 final comics and episode 8 was a chance to take a good look at our comedians. They are all funny, but I think the two finalists will be Chris Porter and Josh Blue. Who are your favorites? Who do you think will be leaving us this week?
Stay tuned every Tuesday on NBC at 9pm EST for The Last Comic Standing.

In an amazing turn of events, we lose not two, but three comics. Gabriel is asked to leave early on in the show, because he is caught breaking a rule. Kathy Griffin Talks With Larry King
Tuesday night Kathy Griffin spent an hour with Larry King. Either he has never watched her act or he has a good sense of self-deprecating humor. They actually chatted a little about her act…and her comments about him, and it’s the latter, otherwise this would be yet another talk show she was banned from.
She spent a little time talking about her divorce, her show The D-List, her web-site (she’s right, her boards are a gay dating service) and her trip to Iraq.
Go to CNN.com to read the transcript and don’t miss Kathy Griffin on Bravo every Tuesday night. Check your local …read more

Bob Dylan’s American Journey
Currently exhibiting at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a salute to folk artist Boy Dylan. Bob Dylan’s American Journey: 1956-1966 salutes a musician who brought a form of poetry to popular music and helped define musicians as artists.
Dylan’s lyrics and songs unearth and revitalize the American folk and blues tradition, serving as a key link in the chain that extends from Southern work songs, blues and Anglo American ballads to the many contemporary singer-songwriters for whom Dylan is a main influence. But Dylan’s story is not simply that of a musical evolution. As a public figure and …read more
