This week on The Last Comic Standing was just pure fun.  We tossed the tension overboard (Stella) and we finally got to see what comics do best…be funny.

Everyone has a lot of respect for each other, and they should.  I hate high drama when it is unnecessary and this is one of those occasions that I want to laugh not feel like I am getting ready to referee a fight.

I thought this week’s challenge was difficult.  Of course, I am not one who is able to think on my toes too well.  I actually have to put a lot of thought into my witty discourse.  Some may say that I don’t put in enough time.  Anyway, the comedians were woken up at 2:30 am to go to a morning radio show hosted by Adam Carolla.  They were each given a magazine–Latina Wedding, Farming Today, Modern Knitting and Weapons of Death to name a few.  They had 20 minutes to prepare and 1 minute to be funny.  Rebecca Corry just inched out Bill Dwyer for the win.  I think Adam Carolla got a sick sense of satisfaction when he picked those magazines.  

This time around we said good-bye to Bill Dwyer and Joey Gay.  And Chris Porter kicked a#@! I was a little surprised when Bill Dwyer showed up for the competition.  I have seen him everywhere.  His bio shows that he actually has a rather substantial career.  If you ever watched any of those VH1 list shows (Top 100 Toys, I Love the 80’s) then you have seen Bill Dwyer.

Next week the show will be taking a break.  It appears that everyone on TV is ready to have a Happy 4th of July.  The Last Comic Standing will return to NBC Tuesday, July 11; and this looks like an episode you don’t want to miss.  A comedian is kicked-out of the house for breaking house rules.  What could it be?  Laughter in a no laugh zone?  Mixing similes and metaphors?  What could it be?  Watch in two weeks and find out. Check your local listings.
