Angelina Jolie and World Refugee Day

Angelina Jolie on Anderson Cooper 360

Angelina Jolie was on Anderson Cooper’s 360 Tuesday night, not promoting a movie or discussing tabloid rumors, but spent the interview discussing a life changing crusade, helping the refugees of the world.

Years ago while shooting a movie she took a detour to a refugee camp in Sierra Leone and was changed forever.  Now Jolie is a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations. She speaks on behalf of refugees and works to provide aide and support for those that aren’t fogotten, but who have never even had a face.

Angelina Jolie not only visits refugee camps on her own dime, but she also has gone to Washington to fight for legsilation.  Jolie also donates 1/3 of her salary to her cause.  Angelina Jolie and Bradd Pitt donated OB ultrasound machines, fetal heart monitors and other hospital supplies to two area clinics in Namibia before they left the country after the birth of their daughter Shiloh Nouvel.
