On a personal note: Oh, crap. He’s a musician.

Tonight one of my very good friends, from the swing dancing days, came over to have dinner and hang out. She put in Louis Prima and Keely Smith. The moment the horns started Charlie got a look on his little face, a little far away, a little intense, that I can only describe as “familiar”.

He’s his father’s son.

I wonder what instrument he’s going to obsessively play like a musical crackmonkey?

Hopefully it will be trombone. We already have seven of them.

Lord help me.

I thought you were aiming to have a full marching band? I used to think I’d marry a guy who’d play a chamber music instrument different than the two I play (violin and piano) then we’d have kids to play the instruments that we still needed to round out the ensemble. :D

LOL! That must be fun. :-)

My hubby doesn’t have any musical inclinations (save for enjoying listening to them)… but my siblings and I all play an instrument in some way.

Hubby and I are hoping that our baby boy would get interested in playing an instrument.

Lei: An article on the musical genes coming up, perhaps? ;-)

My daughter has taken a keen interest in the violin. She just started in Feb for 30 minutes/lesson/week and has just played in her first ‘concert’. She has also been moved to the Advanced Class and has been invited to join the Beginners’ Orchestra of the Music School.

We are psyched! I wonder where she got this talent from? hehe
